The Best Balkan Wines, Awarded at the Balkan Wine Competition 2020, In a Special Catalog
Two months before the 10th anniversary of The Balkans International Wine Competition, the catalog of the previous year’s award-winning wines was published. The best of the competing over 800 wines from 240 wineries found a place on its 158 pages. We remind you that the Trijumf Selection of the Serbian winery Vinarija Aleksandrović was awarded for the best wine in the Balkans in 2020. The trophy for “Best Cellar in the Balkans” was awarded to the Turkish Suvla winery.
Registration for this year’s edition of the prestigious wine forum is open until May 21st. The competition part of The Balkans International Wine Competition & Festival (BIWCF) will take place from June 2nd to 4th in the Northern Macedonian capital, Skopje. Two weeks later – from June 17th to 19th – residents and guests of the capital will have the opportunity to taste the award-winning and many of the best wines in the Balkans in the open area in front of the National Palace of Culture.
The catalog of awarded wines is distributed to 15,000 importers, traders, distributors and media from 25 countries. You can also find it on the updated BIWCF website – here, along with information on previous editions of the competition and festival.
