GRAND BALKAN WINE TASTING – APRIL 18, 2013, MILAN, ITALY
INVITATION
Dear participants of BIWC 2012,
Following the Balkans International Wine Competition marketing strategy, we have the pleasure to organize together with ONAV – Italy a Grand Balkan Wine Tasting in Milan, Italy on 18 April 2013.
When: 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm, 18 April 2013
Where: Milan, Italy, showroom Jannelli & Volpi
This first event outside the Balkans shows that our idea to create a powerful marketing tool which will rely on synergy among wine producers and promoters from all the Balkan countries is working.
Other proof which demonstrates the right direction the BIWC is taking is a great interest shown from importers, distributors and wine experts to organize a special TRADE TASTING during the second edition of BIWC 2013, which will be held from May 16 to 19, 2013 in Grand Hotel Sofia, Bulgaria. Specialized Trade Tasting is consequently scheduled for May 18, 2013. Please see the details below.
ONAV (www.onav.it) is the second largest wine connoisseurs association in Italy, established in 1951, and today counts 2200 members in Lombardy (Milan region) and 9000 all over Italy.
Balkan wines are pretty interesting among trade professionals in Italy, sommeliers and wine lovers and this event will be an opportunity for them to try some of the best Balkan wines which have a great potential on the Italian market and also to taste the indigenous Balkan varieties – some hidden gems from the Balkan vine treasures.
More than 150 wine trade professionals, oenologists, restaurant owners, sommeliers, Enoteche owners and their assistants will attend the tasting.
ONAV requires not more than 30 wineries to present their wines, due to the limited space in the showroom situated in the downtown Milan and called Jannelli & Volpi.
Every wine producer will have a table for B2B contacts – to welcome guests and visitors; give them information about the winery, wines, grape varieties, their terroir, etc.
The personal presence of the producers is highly desirable, however if they cannot join the tasting, ONAV assistants, who are sommeliers, will gladly take professional care of their space and will adequately present their wines.
To secure your participation, which will guarantee you a place at the Grand Balkan Wine tasting, you are kindly requested to register to the event as soon as possible. Only the first 30 registered wineries will have the priority to enter the Grand Balkan Wine Tasting in Milan, Italy.
Yours faithfully,
Eng.Galina Niforou, Wine MBA
