Cyril Meidinger DipWSET – Judge BIWC 2026
Born in Alsace to a French father and a Greek mother, Cyril has spent the past decade working with South Africa–based négociant Robinson & Sinclair. Deeply passionate about South Africa and its wines, he oversees exports for a group of 15 family-owned wineries in North America and manages the agency’s European offices. During his time in South Africa, he completed the WSET Diploma and produced two vintages of Le Kostas Cabernet Sauvignon in Stellenbosch, followed by a dry Muscat from century-old pre-phylloxera vineyards in Kefalonia. He has twice represented South Africa in the World Blind Tasting Championships and was named among the “30 Under 30” shaping the future of the country’s wine industry. Now based in Europe, he works with selected French and Greek producers to develop international markets, serves as an international wine judge, and is pursuing the Master of Wine qualification.
